Invisalign Clear Aligners in Garland, TX

Invisalign Clear Aligners in Garland, TX

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable trays instead of brackets and wires. At Care N Cure Dental in Garland, Dr. Faisal Rehman, D.M.D., plans and monitors Invisalign treatment for teens and adults who want a straighter smile without the look of metal braces.

What Invisalign can correct

  • Crowded teeth that are hard to clean
  • Gaps and spaces between teeth
  • Mild to moderate overbite, underbite and crossbite
  • Teeth that shifted after braces were removed years ago

Severe bite problems or teeth that need large rotations may be better treated with traditional braces. Your consultation includes an exam and X-rays so we can tell you honestly whether aligners are a good fit.

How treatment works, step by step

  1. Consultation: we check your teeth and gums, take X-rays and talk about what you want to change.
  2. Digital plan: impressions or scans of your teeth are used to map how each tooth will move and how many aligners you will need.
  3. Wearing your aligners: you wear each set about 20 to 22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush. You switch to a new set on the schedule your dentist gives you, usually every one to two weeks.
  4. Check-ins: short visits let the dentist confirm your teeth are tracking as planned.
  5. Retainer: once your teeth are in place, a retainer keeps them from drifting back.

Invisalign vs. traditional braces

Aligners are nearly invisible and removable, so you can eat what you like and brush and floss normally. The trade-off is discipline: aligners only work while you wear them. Braces are fixed in place, which can suit younger patients or complex bites. Many simple cases finish in under a year, while more involved cases take longer.

Cost and coverage

Some PPO dental plans include an orthodontic benefit that can be applied to Invisalign, often with a lifetime maximum and sometimes an age limit. Medicaid and CHIP do not cover cosmetic orthodontics. We will check your plan, and CareCredit financing can spread out the remaining cost. Before aligners, we make sure any cavities are treated and your gums are healthy with a cleaning.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Invisalign take?

Treatment length depends on how much your teeth need to move. Minor crowding or spacing can finish in several months, while more complex cases often take a year or longer.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Most people feel pressure or mild soreness for a day or two when they switch to a new set of aligners. It usually fades quickly and is often easier than braces adjustments.

Can I eat with Invisalign aligners in?

No. Remove your aligners to eat and to drink anything except plain water, then brush before putting them back in so food is not trapped against your teeth.
